What is the ideal weight?
Almost everyone asks is my weight too much? Am I healthy? How much should I weigh?
These questions are usually concerning. The Ideal Weight calculator calculates the healthiest and ideal weight you should weigh for a better high-quality life.
It uses your gender, weight, and height to apply a formula. The result is the weight you would be best in. After calculating and recognizing your ideal weight, you should consider losing or gaining weight if needed.
Basic Background Information:
MEN: IBW (kgs) = 22 x (height in meters)2
WOMEN: IBW (kgs) = 22 x (height in meters - 10cm)2
Adjusted body weight = IBW + 0.4 x ( actual weight - IBW)
Conversion factors
1 Pound = 0.4536 Kilogram
1 Inch = 2.54 Centimeters
Min Height = 50cm(1 Foot 8 Inch)
Max height = 228cm(7 Foot 6 Inches)
How much should you weigh?
To be honest, there is no specific weight you should be in. People often confuse the ideal weight with the must-be weight. Your ideal weight is the weight you see best for you.
Some people tend to like being bodybuilders, this means that they will have a heavier weight than normal people. If you tell this to a bodybuilder that you should weigh 50kgs in relation to your height, they will probably laugh at you!
Your ideal weight is something that you would look good at, have good health and no diseases. If you like being obese, that’s fine and we totally respect that. But, it’s not what is ideal for you. Your ideal weight is going to be lower.
Ideal Weight Variables
Gender: In most cases, males are going to be heavier than females. The reason behind that is they have bigger muscle mass due to testosterone hormone. Also, males are somehow taller in general than females.
Height: The taller you are, the more you are going to weigh. Because you will have more muscles, taller bones and bigger structure.
